I had the pleasure of interviewing Kirsten McCay-Smith. Even though I’ve known Kirsten for 10 years, I discovered a lot about her when I reached out to interview her. I’ve always known her as a healthy and athletic person, but I learned that she has run 62 marathons in 31 states (going for all 50) and completed 12 Ironman triathlons including the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. But it really touched my heart when she shared with me that she struggled for years with an eating disorder.

During our conversation, we talk abut how this disorder has impacted her and how she is healthier than ever. Plus, we get into some practical advice for how you can get fit, too. As a fitness coach, she loves helping all levels of athletes and non-athletes complete goals they never thought possible. In fact, Kirsten helped her mom complete her first triathlon for her 50th birthday!

She has a personal blog at www.FoodFitnessFinanceFun.com and offers meal plans, training plans, workouts, free nutrition challenges, and one-on-one phone consults. You can also connect her on FB at www.facebook.com/foodfitnessfinancefun or on Instagram at www.instagram.com/fitnessdivakir

iContact Headshot I learned about giving from my mom. Her first instinct in any situation was to ask, “How can I help?” And for her, it wasn’t just a rhetorical question. But even though I grew up with this great example, it took me awhile to learn how to be truly generous. Read More...
